Community Action Plan to be reviewed
October 22, 2015Murtoa’s Community Action Plan for 2015 will be reviewed and updated at the next meeting of the Murtoa Progress Association on Tuesday 17th November.
The Action Plan is prepared by the Progress Association in consultation with the community and with the assistance of the Yarriambiack Shire Council.
The plan is used to identify and prioritise projects which are important to the community in general and also to provide Council with confirmation that projects which may require funding have general community support.
It is important for Community organisations, considering projects requiring funding over the next two to three years, have these projects identified in the Community Action Plan, for if they are not, then funding authorities may not consider their applications.
The Progress Association is inviting representatives of local organisations which may be considering projects to the meeting on November the 17th as well as any member of the public who may wish to raise projects that should be considered for the benefit of the town and its community.
The meeting will commence at 8.00pm and will be held in the Supper Room at the Mechanics Hall.
